As I go through setting up new Palo Alto Network’s firewalls I’m going to place a new key notes and tutorials in this post for reference as I need them.
Default Username/Password is: admin/admin
Default IP address for MGT Interface for Physical Appliance: 192.168.1.1/24
Note: For VM series the MGT interface is set to DHCP.
From the CLI with known admin user password:

- Erases all logs
- Resets all settings, including IP addressing, which causes loss of connectivity
- Saves a default configuration after the MGT IP address is changed
Without known admin user password:
From the console port type,

- Choose Reset Factory Default
- Or load another configuration into running memory
