I recently saw something about this a few weeks ago and didn’t think much of it, until today. Upon trying to log into my vSphere 6.x Web Client using CHROME. I was presented with a ‘Shockwave Flash has Crashed’ message. I thought to myself, well this is great timing. But I remembered seeing something about it. Took to Google and found a workaround from one of VMware’s KB articles.
Cause:
Google Chrome was updated but Flash was not, therefore there were incompatibility issues between the two that affected VMware products.
Solution:
Download the latest versions (27.0.0.183 or later) from https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
I didn’t take a screenshot of the error as I was in a hurry to get it fixed but below is similar to what you would experience.
